Remove the air filter old carb, take the throttle cable out of the old carb
and remove the manifold from the cylinder.
You will need the original manifold bolts, and manifold gasket, which goes between the manifold and the cylinder. SAVE THESE.
Install the new manifold. Leave the fuel lines connected to your old carb so gas doesn’t spray all over.
Next, re-route your throttle cable. Run it down along the bars, down between the frame and the deck on the right side and then down along the right side of the frame. The right side would be if you were standing on it facing forward.
Zip-tie the cable in the middle of the frame under the deck, tight enough so it doesn’t hang down but not too tight to where it doesn’t function properly. The end of the throttle cable needs to come up behind the deck next to the gas tank.
Take the bent, silver piece of metal with the two small holes and one big hole. This is called the LINKAGE.
Take the carb and look at it, notice one side has 1 "T" screw, a normal flathead screw and a big phillips head screw at the bottom. These all have springs on them as well. You are going to mount the linkage so that the biggest hole on the linkage hangs down over the edge of the carb on the side where the screws just mentioned are.
Take out two of the screws on top of the carb where the bubble is to do this. Use them to mount the linkage.
Install the throttle barrel which is the small round part with a slot in it. Place it in the hole that has been drilled out on the carb on the same side where the screws are.
Use the small "C" clip to hold it in place on the backside.
Install the throttle cable by placing the threaded end through the linkage and using the included nut to hold it in place, unhook the cable from your throttle lever. Put the spring over the throttle cable and hook the cable into the throttle barrel.
Use your old filter bolts and air filter/velocity stack and put them through the carb with the bubble being on top.
Tighten the bolts, and put your filter back on.
Disconnect the fuel lines from your old carb, the yellow line goes on the top nipple and the blue/green line goes on the bottom.
Push the bubble several times until it fills with gas. Hook your throttle cable back up to the lever.
